Description: On May 29, 2015, police raided the Bronx home of Sebastian Arbelaez and his family.
Sebastian’s apartment complex was home to a violent gang of drug dealers, meaning there was high police presence in the vicinity. In the month prior to the raid, Sebastian filmed police officers violently arresting a group of children outside of the complex, and subsequently filed a complaint with Internal Affairs. Sebastian’s brother, Manuel, was the victim of an errant bullet from gang crossfire. Manuel explained to police officers in the hospital that he had no involvement in any gang activity.
