While trying to escape, the Plaintiff sought the help of NYPD officers, however, they abandoned the plaintiff saying that they were going to be delayed for another assignment. The Plaintiff was then again attacked by the robbers, his belonging were stollen, and he required emergency surgery. The NYPD refused to investigate the robbery.
