Description: On September 10, 2016, Plaintiff Hugo Duran was beaten up by a group of men in his neighborhood. Plaintiff walked to a local firehouse to seek assistance. Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, the Fire Department alerted the NYPD. Plaintiff then decided to return home. While waiting at the back entrance for a family member to open the door for him, Defendant NYPD officers arrived at his home. Defendants illegally entered his home, informed Plaintiff that an ambulance was waiting for him, and asked him to come around to the front of his home.
