Description: On November 8, 2019, while lawfully inside the building at 330 Jay Street in Kings County, NY, the plaintiff was illegally stopped, seized, detained, and arrested in an excessive manner by defendants, including Clark and John Does 1-10, without any legal justification and solely because of her race. The plaintiff, attending a family court hearing regarding paternal visitation rights, was insulted by her children's father and his girlfriend, who then falsely accused her of violating an order of protection. Despite the plaintiff and a court officer explaining to the responding officers that no violation occurred, the officers ignored them and accused the plaintiff of a criminal offense.
