Description: On December 31, 2016, plaintiffs were gathered for an annual event to celebrate the life of their family member who was shot to death by NYPD in 2003. All plaintiffs either resided at or were visiting the subject premises. After midnight on January 1, 2017, P.O.s Omar Birchwood, Lt. Michael Raimo, and P.O. Jesse Lance knocked on the door under the false guise that they had heard gunshots. The officers insisted that they enter the premises, but plaintiffs demanded a warrant to allow entry. This encounter lasted for more than hour, and the officers didn't allow plaintiffs to close their front door.
