Description: On September 26, 2020, Plaintiff Max Ryota Morohashi was having a dispute with his Uncle when police arrived at his apartment. Officers ordered Plaintiff to leave his bedroom, and Plaintiff complied. Upon exiting his room, Officers were pointing their weapons in his direction, and Plaintiff then retreated to his room and locked the door. Officers broke down the door, cuffed Plaintiff, and removed him from his bedroom by his hands and feet. At this time, Plaintiff was sweating profusely and visibly in shock. Upon Plaintiff's arrest, Defendant Officer Mosquera filed a criminal complaint that was later dismissed. Description: On May 30, 2020, plaintiff Christophe Bensmaine was running errands when he noticed a police brutality protest in the wake of the George Floyd murder and decided to join. The demonstration was orderly and calm, however more police started to arrive to the protest and by 5:25 PM there were fifty police officers including all named defendants, Inspector Dowling, Deputy Inspector Hillery, PO Cascio, PO Cirikiovich, PO Dottavio, PO Johnson, PO Monestine, PO Mosquera, PO Olivares, and PO Singh.
