Complaint
Description: On or about March 28, 2010, defendant NYPD detective Tyler Ward falsely arrested plaintiffs for a robbery and assault they did not commit. Defendant Ward, along with unnamed defendant NYPD officers, failed to follow proper procedure and improperly instigated a malicious prosecution of plaintiffs. The arrests and prosecutions were motivated by race. Plaintiffs sustained physical and emotional injuries as a result of this incident. All charges against plaintiff were dropped on October 6, 2010.
