Description: On or about September 29, 2017, plaintiffs Maldonado and McCray were arrested by defendant NYPD Lieutenant Tejada and NYPD Officers Olsen and John/Jane Doe I-IV. The plaintiffs were set upon by the defendant officers with objects with which they struck plaintiffs. Based upon defendants' false statements that the plaintiffs were engaged in illegal gambling activity, they were charged with same. At no time, were plaintiff's engaged in any illegal gambling activity. Plaintiff McCray, in fact, was merely on his way home from work, when he stopped to greet some acquaintances, at which point the arrest was made. Defendants had no probable cause to believe that either plaintiff was engaged in illegal activity.

Description: On September 12, 2016, at approximately 1:00 am, Plaintiff was lawfully sitting inside of a legally parked motor vehicle in front of 260 Brook Avenue when Defendant police officers unlawfully approached the vehicle, knocked on the driver's window, and told Plaintiff they needed to search the vehicle. Plaintiff told the officers he needed to call the owner of the vehicle, who was inside of 260 Brook Avenue to inform him of what was happening.
