Description: On June 25, 2015, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Plaintiffs were lawfully at their apartment at 1944 Andrews Avenue in the Bronx. Detective Kieron Ramdeen and fifteen unidentified police officers broke into the apartment on a warrant issued on the basis of unreliable information, searching for an individual other than Plaintiffs. Plaintiffs pointed firearms at Plaintiffs. The NYPD officers: shoved Plaintiff Amparo Alvarez and forced him down; slammed Plaintiff Francisco Alverez down, dragged him across the floor, struck him, hit him in the testicles, and placed excessively tight handcuffs on his wrists; grabbed Plaintiff Gil Alvarez’s beard and punched him in the face; and were abusive and rude to Plaintiffs.
