Description: Plaintiff had just purchased a car at a dealership in July 2018. On August 3rd, 2018, Plaintiff was in her parked car when officers approached her and asked for license and registration. Due to a dealership mistake, the VIN on the vehicle did not match the registration. Plaintiff was booked and charged with four counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument. During her arrest and while at the precinct, Plaintiff was never able to make a phone call. The criminal charges were eventually dismissed in favor of Plaintiff.
