Description: On February 8, 2013, Plaintiff was entering his friend's apartment building when Defendant Police Officers Nakia Goodman, Steven Troise, and George Strysko intimidatingly and unlawfully stopped, searched, detained, falsely arrested, and falsely imprisoned him. Plaintiff was taken to the PSA 5 Precinct, placed in a filthy holding cell, and maliciously prosecuted as supervisory Defendant Sergeants Jorge Ortiz and Carlos Viera both approved the arrest and Defendant Police Officers provided false information to the DA. Plaintiff was held in custody for approximately 24 hours. As a result, Plaintiff suffered emotional and psychological injuries.

Description: On May 9, 2015, Plaintiff was at his home when Officers M. Prior and Sgt. Ortiz of NYPD arrived and placed him in handcuffs. The officers had been responding to a tip from a woman in Connecticut alleging that plaintiff was holding several girls hostage and forcing them into sex work against their will. While handcuffed, officers asked plaintiff if the allegations were true and he denied them. He was cuffed and held for two hours with his chest to a fence while officers questioned the alleged victims, who also denied the allegations.
