Description: On July 4, 2023, Plaintiff, Luis German, ("Plaintiff") was helping to clean up after a family cookout when New York City Police Department Police Officer Diego Rivas Villalobos, Sergeant Joseph Illesca and John/Jane Does ("Defendants") grabbed him and threw him to the ground and then handcuffed and arrested Plaintiff. Plaintiff wasn't engaged in any activity that was criminal or unlawful. As a result of being thrown to the ground, Plaintiff suffered serious physical injury and pain to his right ankle, chest, ribs and body. Plaintiff was transported to the 44th precinct where he paced into a cell with other male prisoners. He was strip searched and nothing illegal or unlawful was recovered. After being held for ...
