Description: On January 9, 2017, Plaintiff noticed a woman standing next to a disabled vehicle who needed assistance. Plaintiff pulled his vehicle over and attempted to assist the woman, who explained that her car broke down while she was driving and she did not know what to do. Plaintiff attempted to charge the woman's car battery but despite Plaintiff's efforts was unable to get the woman's car running, so Plaintiff called 911 to report the disabled vehicle and to request assistance for the woman. Description: The plaintiff was walking on the sidewalk when he saw 3 officers questioning a man on the ground. He decided to film the encounter and was approached by Officer Bejac who told the plaintiff that he was in the way of pedestrian traffic and to back up. The plaintiff complied, but continued filming and refused to present identification. The officers arrested the plaintiff for obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. A jury trial occurred July 7-9, 2015, before Justice Gilbert Hong. The jury returned a not-guilty verdict on all counts.
