Description: On July 24, 2021, Ms. York attended a protest. NYPD officers surrounded the protesters on all sides and played a recording stating that protesters must disperse. NYPD Officer Jorge Garcia pushed Ms. York, who verbally expressed to Garcia that she couldn't move because she was trapped. Garcia ignored this information and continued pushing Ms. York on her shoulders and chest. At some point, an NYPD supervisor gave a command to arrest the protesters. Garcia and Officer John Doe 1 grabbed Ms. York and threw her onto the street, which caused her to fall and lose her cane. Description: On May 20, 2019, Plaintiff was pulled over by Defendant Officer Thomas Quevedo in a rented car which Plaintiff was driving, with the permission of the lessee who was also present at the scene. Defendant Officer Quevedo pulled the vehicle over for no legitimate reason and learned the car was rented. The person who rented the car approached to ascertain what the problem was, and told the Officer that if there was a problem they would drive the car. Plaintiff was removed from the car and while being removed the Defendant Officer used a taser on Plaintiff for no apparent reason.
