Complaint
Description: On or around August 19, 2023, the infant defendant A.S. (whom this case is brought on behalf of) was in the vicinity of NYCHA housing along the East River when Defendant NYPD Officer Alexander Sanchez detained and searched the Plaintiff, including handcuffing the Plaintiff. Defendant Sanchez had no probable cause and the accusation that the infant Plaintiff had committed a crime was unsupported by evidence. As a result, Plaintiff suffered emotional distress and physical harm. Because of these above-referenced actions, the Plaintiff's mother and guardian, Crystal Straker, will have to help Plaintiff handle the emotional trauma that Defendant Sanchez and the NYPD inflicted.
