Complaint
Description: On September 4, 2013, Plaintiff was walking on the sidewalk with his cousin, while engaged in a call on his phone. Plaintiff subsequently observed Defendants, four plainclothes NYPD officers, interacting with an individual at an intersection. Plaintiff continued walking, was approached by Defendants, and detained. Defendants violently placed handcuffs on Plaintiff and dealt physical blows to his body. Believing that Plaintiff had recorded them, Defendants confiscated Plaintiff's phone and searched for video footage. Upon realizing that Plaintiff had not recorded them, Defendants proceeded to search Plaintiff's person while dealing blows. Finding no illegal substances on Plaintiff's person, Defendants uncuffed...
