Description: On July 13, 2014, Plaintiff was present as a street vendor in Manhattan when Defendant Officers Algerio and Schillinger approached him and asked for identification, claiming that his artwork was touching the sidewalk. When Plaintiff reached for his identification Defendant Officers grabbed plaintiff, twisted his arms behind his back, pushed to the ground, and proceeded to step on Plaintiff's legs causing injury. Defendant Officers handcuffed Plaintiff and ignored his plea when he told them he was in extreme pain. As a result of his injuries Plaintiff was unable to work for nine months and both summons issued were dismissed.
