Complaint
Description: On June 1, 2013, Plaintiff was leaving a neighborhood barbecue with his brother when several NYPD Officers including Officer Michael Mundy arrived. The Officers grabbed Plaintiff and punched him all over his body including his face and chest and then arrested Plaintiff without any probable cause. Plaintiff was searched and no contraband was found. At the precinct, the Officers including Officer Mundy falsely informed employees of the DA's Office that they had observed Plaintiff unlawfully possess marijuana. After 36 hours in custody, Plaintiff was released.
