Description: On July 21, 2011, Plaintiff was stopped and searched by POs Dudley Ewald, David L. Bowman, and John Doe (the name John Doe is fictitious, as the true name of the officer was unknown at the time of the complaint). No illegal physical evidence was found on the person of Plaintiff. The officers nevertheless arrested and handcuffed Plaintiff, without giving any reason for the arrest. Later, at the precinct, the officers strip searched Plaintiff, punched him in the stomach, and kicked him while he was on the ground. The officers also used an electric restraining/compliance device (Taser) on Plaintiff. Despite the advice of a medical professional, the officers refused to transport Plaintiff to the hospital.
