Description: On March 21, 2021, Miguel Melendez (Plaintiff) was approached and was assaulted and battered by PO Albert Germosen and John Does (Defendants). The assault and battery consisted of being abused with a taser and/or other conductive energy device, grabbed, slammed to the ground, kicked and was forcefully placed in handcuffs. Plaintiff was then placed in a police vehicle where he was taken to the 76th Precinct and was held in a holding cell, and then later transported to a hospital for the treatment of his injuries while in custody.
