Description: On March 21, 2021, Miguel Melendez (Plaintiff) was approached and was assaulted and battered by PO Albert Germosen and John Does (Defendants). The assault and battery consisted of being abused with a taser and/or other conductive energy device, grabbed, slammed to the ground, kicked and was forcefully placed in handcuffs. Plaintiff was then placed in a police vehicle where he was taken to the 76th Precinct and was held in a holding cell, and then later transported to a hospital for the treatment of his injuries while in custody. On the next day, plaintiff transported back to the precinct and there until the day after when he was taken to the central booking where he was later released and was issued summons for...
