Description: On December 31, 2019, plaintiff Steven Dominguez attended a New Year's Eve celebration at a private event space in Brooklyn. A scuffle broke out at the event and an unidentified person slashed plaintiff's face with a knife, leaving a large cash on plaintiff's right cheek. When the police arrived, despite plaintiff's girlfriend and a friend of plaintiff's identifying the attacker, the police did not question the attacker and allowed him to get in a car and rive away. Description: On July 4, 2017, Plaintiff went to a boardwalk restaurant to see a hot dog eating contest and enjoy the beach. Plaintiff had packed a lunch and non-alcoholic drink in a cooler. He was listing to a local band outside when he ran into a friend and offered the friend a drink from his cooler. Shortly after officers approached Plaintiff and arrested him for unlicensed general vending and sale of alcohol without a license. Plaintiff was detained for approximately 24 hours. All charges against Plaintiff were subsequently dismissed.
