Description: On January 28, 2014, outside plaintiff's friend's apartment, P.O.s Gonzalez and Yen arrested plaintiff with tight handcuffs and searched him without an arrest warrant, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion. The officers took plaintiff to the precinct and made false allegations of crimes against plaintiff to the district attorney's office but the office declined to prosecute plaintiff. Plaintiff was released the next morning.

Description: On September 2, 2012, plaintiffs Luis Ortega, Alba Cuevas, Ana Gregorio, Evelyn Lugo, George Lugo, Edwin Avellanet, and Crystal Cruz were gathered at the home of Evelyn Lugo to celebrate Labor Day. Avellanet stepped outside to throw out a bag of garbage and was stopped and questioned by officers Charles Drobness and Ralph Conde, despite not committing a crime. The officers requested Avallenet's ID, and he refused after the officers refused to say why they needed it.
