Description: On or about January 16, 2021, Plaintiff was arrested on a non-bail eligible offense in the Bronx. After being brought into custody under arrest and interrogation, Plaintiff was re-arrested and falsely charged with attempted murder. Defendant officers claimed Plaintiff was involved in an incident that took place on January 13, 2021, where an individual (JR) was repeatedly struck with a crowbar and stabbed by another (ST), while ST's wife ("Michelle") looked on. While "Michelle" may have been present, there was insufficient evidence to established probable cause that "Michelle" had attempted to murder JR.
