Description: On March 4, 2014, at approximately 4:30 p.m., at 60 Kingsland Avenue in Brooklyn, Plaintiff went to visit his aunt in the same housing complex he lives in. While Plaintiff was walking up the stairs, NYPD Officer Jesse Mentzel, Officer Alex Ramos, and several unidentified police officers ran past him while chasing men. Plaintiff’s aunt was not home. On Plaintiff’s way out of the building, he felt someone grab his shoulder; he was worried it was one of the men being chased by the officers, so he brushed him off and kept walking. Unbeknownst to Plaintiff, this person was an officer in plainclothes. The officer pushed Plaintiff through a door and his head hit a scaffolding pole. A different officer then slammed him...
