Description: On November 28. 2023 Plaintiff was within an apartment when Det. Michael Summa wrongfully accused Plaintiff of various crimes then transported Plaintiff to the 48th Precinct and Central Booking. Plaintiff remained in wrongful custody for approximately 12 hours. Plaintiff was maliciously prosecuted but all charges were ultimately dismissed. Plaintiff sustained serious personal injury, inconvenience, mental anguish, humiliation, damages, and losses as a result of this incident.

Description: On or about September 4, 2015, Plaintiff was on the street when several unknown Defendant officers wrongfully touched, grabbed, handcuffed, and seized the Plaintiff in an excessive manner, causing physical injury and mental suffering. Plaintiff was punched in the stomach and had tight handcuffs placed which caused injury. The Defendant officers did not have any legal justification for their actions. The Plaintiff was taken and held in custody over the course of 34 hours until he was released. While in custody, plaintiff was assaulted and lost consciousness, to the point that Plaintiff had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained while in police custody.

Description: On July 26, 2014, NYPD officer Michael V. Summa issued Mr. Williams, an African-American man, six tickets in relation to problems that Officer Summa had with Black Pearl, a catering venue, where Mr. Williams worked as custodial staff. Mr. Williams told Officer Summa that he was not the owner or manager of the venue, which Officer Summa ignored. On August 16, 2014, Officer Summa again issued Mr. Williams multiple tickets relating to the venue's business practices and unlawfully arrested Mr. Williams. Mr. Williams was released immediately at arraignment after spending two days in police custody.
