Description: On February 26, 2024, in Manhattan, Plaintiff Khari Scarborough called 911 after his girlfriend damaged his belongings and falsely claimed ownership. Defendants NYPD Officers Pimentel, Oliveira, Clarke, and others arrived, spoke with the girlfriend, and ordered Scarborough into the apartment upon seeing a toy gun replica. He was falsely arrested, searched, and handcuffed without explanation. Officers unlawfully searched his bookbag containing $5,000 from a lawsuit settlement, taking the cash and receipts. Description: On March 12, 2014, Defendant Police Officers Alexander Pimental and John Does #1-4 stopped, questioned, frisked, searched, and falsely arrested and imprisoned Plaintiff, taking him to the 28th Precinct where he was detained in a holding cell for approximately 6 hours. Thereafter, on April 29, 2014, Defendant Police Officers Alexander Pimental and John Does #1-4 maliciously prosecuted Plaintiff by falsifying evidence and information to the DA's Office. Plaintiff was forced to appear in court approximately 12 times before charges were dismissed on May 7, 2015. Plaintiff sustained physical, psychological, and emotional trauma.
