Description: On December 6, 2019, plaintiff Molina-Jovel was inside her apartment in Jackson Heights, Queens, caring for her father. At 10:30 PM, defendants violently knocked on her door and truthfully identified themselves as NYPD officers. The plaintiff did not see any badges through the peephole and chose not to open the door for her and her fathers safety. She called 911 and the operator instructed her not to open the door and wait for more officers to arrive. The defendants broke down the door by breaking the doorknobs and entered the apartment illegally. The defendants jumped on her and pinned her down with force that caused her chest, shoulder, and legs to bruise. They also contorted her arms behind her back ruthless...

Description: On September 28, 2015 Plaintiff Milton Marchi called for help when his home was burglarized. Mr. Marchi has Parkinson's disease. NYPD Officers Bennett Choi, Frank Talio, Matthew Peters, and Joseph Dean arrived. Officer Choi grabbed Mr. Marchi, struck him with an asp and began beating and kicking him. The remaining officers help Mr. Marchi down. Mr. Marchi was transported to Jamaica Hospital, and the officers claimed he was an emotionally disturbed person. Mr. Marchi was released from police custody at Jamaica Hospital without being charged with committing any crimes or offenses.
