Description: On September 3, 2013, a JPMorgan Chase branch on 444 5th Ave in Brooklyn, a fraudulent bank account was opened using documents from Plaintiff Lamont Hamilton's stolen wallet. Plaintiff was not at the branch at this time. An unknown individual presented Plaintiff's stolen ID in an attempt to withdraw cash. Shortly thereafter, JPMorgan, through their investigator Walter Mann, contacted NYPD. Plaintiff Lamont Hamilton was arrested on January 4, 2014 for this incident. He was subsequently prosecuted for a year, despite the fact that he was never placed in a lineup, and a videotape was produced showing Plaintiff was not the perpetrator.
