Description: On February 14, 2020, Plaintiff was asleep in his home when unnamed POs and SWAT kicked down his door without probable cause, and entered his home. Plaintiff was grabbed, slammed against the wall, then, despite being incapacitated, the butt end of a taster was shoved into his ribs. POs then slammed Plaintiff onto the floor. As a result, Plaintiff experienced an anxiety attack, but officers ignored his visible need for medical attention and arrested him. POs then gave the DA false information that Plaintiff committed a crime, and Plaintiff was charged for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. The charges were dismissed.

Description: On August 3, 2017 at approximately 6:30 PM, at 2111 Albermarle Road, in the borough of Brooklyn, plaintiff was arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon, assault, menacing, and other related charges. However, plaintiff did not attempt to commit murder, possess a weapon, or assault anyone. After a lengthy trial, both 911 calls and DNA evidence supported plaintiff's version of events.
Plaintiff was acquitted of all charges on April 22, 2019. He had been unlawfully incarcerated for 1 year and 8 months. Plaintiff now files suit against the City, police officer Leon Batson, unidentified police officer (John Doe 1) and unidentified police officers (John and Jane Doe 2-12).
