Description: On June 19, 2018, Police Officers Pedro Ramos and John Does #1-6 ("Defendants") broke into Mohamed Konate ("Plaintiff") apartment. The Defendants dragged the plaintiff out of his apartment where their actions were harmful, offensive, and nonconsensual amounting to the civil tort of battery. The Defendants failed to exercise reasonable care and judgment in determining whether to arrest Plaintiff. The Plaintiff was discriminated against and the Defendants profiled him because of his race. They had no warrant, or any other lawful reason, to arrest the Plaintiff but he was charged him with shooting someone in the finger, subject to a humiliating search and confiscated of his money and personal belongings then impr...

Description: On March 28, 2019 at approximately 1:08 p.m. minor sixteen-year-old Plaintiff was lawfully at the corner of Stickball Boulevard and Seward Avenue due to a fire drill being conducted at her highschool. At that time Det. Pedro Ramos and PO Austin Denio assaulted, battered, and victimized minor Plaintiff by pushing and punching her in the face, left eye, and head for no apparent reason in front of multiple witnesses. In addition to physical injuries Plaintiff suffered indignity, humiliation, and ridicule.
