Description: On April 20, 2023, Plaintiff was lawfully inside his room within 247 E. 116th St., NY, NY, with his cousin watching tv in his room when eight defendants forced their way into the apartment, breaking both the main and Plaintiff’s apartment door. Officers were in plain clothes and did not announce themselves as police. Upon seeing strangers in his apartment with guns pointed at them, and unaware these were police, Plaintiff and his cousin panicked. The cousin exclaimed they were being robbed. To avoid being robbed, plaintiff jumped out of the second story window, severely injuring himself in the process.
