Description: On Friday March 19, 2021 at 6am NYPD Det. Novonil Chowdhury, Det. Sekou Bourne and Officers Jane/John Does 1-10 carried out a no-knock warrant at Plaintiffs Debra Cottingham (mother and homeowner) and Imani Scott's (adult daughter) home in Laurelton, Queens. Only Debra was home, and officers pointed their guns at her before handcuffing her. The NYPD extensively searched the home, destroying property throughout. The NYPD had obtained the warrant to search KaShawn Parke, the son of Plaintiff Cottingham's boyfriend who had not lived there for two years, for alleged drug dealing out of the home based on an affidavit Det Chowdhury swore to.
