Description: On or about January 27, 2023, six NYPD officers, named as John Doe defendants in the complaint, forcibly entered Plaintiff Jahreese Ferera's home and arrested him without an arrest warrant. Ferera, who is African American, had hired a hairstylist to style his hair at home. When she demanded double what they had agreed on, she became violent, throwing things on his shelves, banging on his front door with a brick, and threatening Ferera with the brick. When the eight NYPD officers arrived at Ferera's house, Ferera was retrieving his dog, which had gotten out during the commotion.
