Officers forced her to sit on sidewalk with her hysterically crying baby. A gun was also pointed to the plaintiff's head. Description: On May 16, 2015 at around 5pm, officers approached Mr. Ross, an African-American man, and demanded his ID. Mr. Ross did not have his ID on him, but he explained that his mother who was nearby had his ID. The officers ignored him and arrested him, cuffing his hands tightly behind his back and ignoring his pleas not to cuff him so tightly because of a prior arm fracture. Mr. Ross was denied medical assistance despite being in excruciating pain. All charges against Mr. Ross were false and his arrest was subsequently voided. Mr. Ross was treated at a local hospital for a fractured metacarpal bone and facial abrasion.

They proceeded to unlawfully carry out a search without authority or a search warrant. The defendant officers found a firearm and cocaine which caused plaintiff to be maliciously prosecuted for six months before the charges were dismissed. Plaintiff's imprisonment in the interim was abusive and unlawful.

Description: On December 11, 2014, Officer Lalchan Singh approached Andre Moore and knocked on his car window. Singh asked for a driver’s license and registration and stated that Moore’s windows were tinted too dark, and he would be receiving a ticket. Moore refused on grounds of his 4th and 5th amendment rights. Lieutenant Caine arrived and Moore repeated the same refusal. Caine told Singh to “lock this guy up.” Singh handcuffed Moore and searched the vehicle before taking him to the precinct. Charges against Moore were later dismissed.
