Complaint
Description: On or about September 6, 2017, plaintiff was lawfully present within a friend's residence as the friend's invitee. At the behest of defendant-NYPD Lieutenant Reynaldo Herasme and without justification, defendant-NYPD officers forcibly removed plaintiff from the residence. Defendant-officers caused apprehension of- and used actual physical force in this removal. Subsequently, defendant-officers transported plaintiff to a psychiatric facility against her (plaintiff's) will. Defendants did not appraise plaintiff of any Miranda rights or provide opportunity to speak with an attorney. Plaintiff was held for 72 hours or 3 days prior to being release.
