Description: The plaintiff stayed home from work because she was ill. That morning she heard loud continuous banging on her apartment door and voices. She opened the door to 3 firemen and 2 NYPD officers, and her building manager. The plaintiff stepped into the hallway. One of the officers asked to enter the apartment because there was a leak that was causing damage in the apartment below. There was no leak. The plaintiff re-entered her apartment to get paper so she could get the officer's names. When she turned to re-enter one of the officers grabbed her and threw her against the hallway wall. The NYPD officers grabbed her and kneed her, assaulting her body as she lay on the floor. The plaintiff was then sprayed with mace...
