Case # 020456/2018E, Supreme Court - Bronx, January 30, 2018
Complaint
Description: On October 29, 2016, in the Bronx, Mr. Ruben Diaz was unlawfully arrested and detained without a warrant or justification by officers Christopher McCabe, Melissa DePaula, Pamela Harris, and John and/or James Doe. Mr. Diaz property was also searched and seized without legal basis. These actions caused Mr. Diaz emotional distress, physical harm, and prolonged fear. False information was later provided to prosecutors by the defendants, but all charges against Mr. Diaz were dismissed on December 5, 2018, after he had been wrongfully detained for approximately 767 days.
