Description: On or about June 29, 2016, at approximately 3:30 p.m., at and in the vicinity of 110th Avenue and 156th Street, Queens, NY, NYPD Det. Sgt. Thomas Gagliardi, Det. Michael McCready, and Det. Jason Levy without consent, a warrant, or reasonable suspicion committed excessive force upon and unlawfully searched the plaintiff. Plaintiff was pulled over by the three, after which Galgliardi grabbled plaintiff, pulled her out of the car, and then threw plaintiff to the ground and searched her. Plaintiff's request to be searched by a female officer was denied. Because of plaintiff's appearance, defendant McCready referred to plaintiff using male pronouns, despite plaintiff's request to be referred to using female pronouns...

Description: The Defendant NYPD Officers initiated a stop to the vehicle that the Plaintiff was riding in. When the Plaintiff began video recording from his phone, one of the Defendant-Officers pulled the Plaintiff out and begin choking him, pushed him onto the vehicle and placed him in tight handcuffs causing pain and numbness. The Defendant-Officers took his phone and manipulated it to appear as if he was deleting the video. The Defendant-Officers also verbally abused the Plaintiff. The Plaintiff was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct. The charges were eventually dismissed.
