Description: On December 4, 2020, Plaintiff was sitting in his car outside his grandmother's residence, when officers Scott Smith and Kieran Brennan unlawfully approached him and seized, assaulted, detained, searched, and arrested Plaintiff. Both officers pulled Plaintiff out of his vehicle and on to the ground, punched and kicked him, and caused him to suffer numerous injuries before accusing him of several criminal offenses without cause. The two officers also passed along false information to the Bronx DA's office, which led to Plaintiff being detained at Riker's Island during the COVID-19 pandemic. Plaintiff was maliciously prosecuted on these charges until the charges were dismissed.
