Complaint
Description: On March 17, 2023, Defendant officers Rosario, Ortiz, Defossett, Doe and Roe were on duty in the area of Crotona Avenue and East 178th Street in the Bronx. Without an arrest warrant, probable cause, reasonable cause or any legal justification, the Defendant officers approached Angel Rodriguez, and stopped, searched, grabbed, assaulted, battered, and detained him in an excessive manner. Plaintiff was arraigned after his arrest and maliciously prosecuted. Thereafter, Plaintiff Rodriguez remained incarcerated for over twenty-four hours and required to make numerous court appearances before all charges against him were terminated favorably.
