Description: On October 12, 2016, the plaintiff, a college student, moved into an apartment at 9720 Kings Highway, Apt. 310, Brooklyn, New York. Two days later, on October 14, 2016, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the defendants forcefully entered the apartment, breaking the front door. The defendants were searching for an individual named "L. Dupree," whom they believed had sold drugs from the apartment on three separate occasions before the plaintiff moved in. However, "L. Dupree" no longer lived in the apartment, and the plaintiff had no knowledge of this person.
Upon entering the apartment, the defendants immediately handcuffed and falsely arrested the plaintiff, searching both him and the apartment without finding any ill...

Description: On May 27, 2016, Plaintiff was inside a private residence belonging to his girlfriend in Brooklyn, New York. Plaintiff had just arrived at the residence and did not know the other people present, other than his girlfriend. NYPD officers, wearing riot gear, with guns and shields drawn, entered the residence without warning. The officers searched and handcuffed Plaintiff, and then held him down at gunpoint. Plaintiff was taken into custody with the other people present in the home and charged with two counts related to drug possession. Plaintiff was kept in custody for approximately 24 hours. Plaintiff eventually accepted ACD for the charges, maintaining his innocence throughout his court appearances.

Description: Plaintiffs were visiting an individual when 7 officers broke into the apartment without warning and without warrant. Plaintiffs were searched and handcuffed at gun point without their consent and were transported to the 71st precinct. Plaintiff Lowe was given a DAT and released whereas plaintiff Roach was ROR two days later. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance. Plaintiffs Lowe and Roach both accepted ACD for the charge.
