Description: On May 10, 2017, the plaintiff was subject to an unlawful stop and search while lawfully driving by Police Officer Ryan Palminteri and Michael Cadena. The defendants repeatedly punch, kick, and strike the plaintiff with a baton on his torso and legs, without probable cause or any legal justification. PO Palminteri failed to intervene to stop and or prevent Cadena. The defendants falsely arrested the plaintiff. A criminal prosecution was initiated against the plaintiff without probable cause, but all charges were dismissed on September 14, 2017.

Description: On April 2, 2013, Plaintiff was at the home of his grandmother when he became engaged in an argument with his grandmother over money. After a protracted verbal back and forth, Plaintiff became increasingly agitated. Due to Plaintiff’s struggles with mental health, his grandmother called Plaintiff’s father, who eventually called 911.
