Description: On January 31, 2018, NYPD Officer Ewald and other John Doe NYPD officers falsely arrested the plaintiff near 99 Tompkins Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. Officer Ewald and the other NYPD officers arrested and confined the plaintiff without probable cause and without an arrest warrant. The plaintiff remained incarcerated until April 27, 2018, when all charges against him were dismissed. In the course of the arrest and confinement, the plaintiff suffered permanent physical injuries, along with humiliation, shame, damage to reputation, indignity, and emotional distress.
Moreover, to cover up the false arrest and confinement, Officer Ewald and the other NYPD officers created and submitted an erroneous police report.
