Description: On December 28, 2013, plaintiff Amador Acevedo on the street when he was unlawfully and without cause approached and arrested by New York City police officers, including Detective Carlos Marchena. Detective Marchena misrepresented facts in his police report, falsely claiming that Mr. Acevedo had committed criminal offenses, in order for Detective Marchena to cover up his misconduct, obtain overtime compensation, obtain credit for an arrest, and cover up the misconduct of other police officers.
