Description: On May 28, 2023, Plaintiff was at Sunday mass with his wife and three children when a fight erupted outside the church. NYPD responded to the location as Plaintiff and members of the church congregation were on the sidewalk in front and next to the church. NYPD Officers arrested Plaintiff for being involved in the fight, despite members of the congregation telling the NYPD Officers that Plaintiff was not involved. Plaintiff was placed in hand cuffs and in the back of a police car in front of his congregation, wife, and children. As a result of being pushed into the rear seat the Plaintiff struck his knee on the back of the front seat, injuring it.
