Description: On October 24, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. plaintiff, Janaqual Ashaqua, while lawfully inside of 2015 Madison Avenue, New York, New York, was falsely arrested, falsely imprisoned, unlawfully seized and subjected to excessive force by the defendants when they slammed plaintiff to the ground, tased him twice in the abdomen, causing plaintiff to suffer serious physical injuries in the head and stomach. Description: Incident Number One: On October 2, 2011, Plaintiff was lawfully exiting an elevator in a subway station in Queens. NYPD officers, including Defendant Police Officer Salvia, stopped Plaintiff. Defendant officers began questioning Plaintiff. When Plaintiff objected to the officer’s questioning, Plaintiff was handcuffed, placed under arrest, and transported to a transit precinct. At the precinct, the officers, including Defendant Salvia, falsely informed employees of a District Attorney’s Office that they had observed Plaintiff obstructing a seat on the subway. Plaintiff was subsequently arraigned in court. At arraignment, Plaintiff’s criminal charges were dismissed.
