Description: On December 9, 2020, around 9:00 AM, Plaintiff Kenny Mathieu was at home at 1930 Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn when he was subject to an unlawful search, including a pat down search, by Defendant NYPD Detectives John Chery and Brian Weinstein and Officers Corey Anderson and John Does 1-10. Plaintiff was transported with his hands cuffed behind his back to the 77th precinct, where he was interrogated about a gunpoint robbery that had occurred on September 23, 2020. After 24 hours at the precinct, Plaintiff was transported to King's County Central Booking, where Defendant officers provided the KC DA with false, misleading, and/or incomplete information. On December 10, 2020, Plaintiff was arraigned and bail was set....

Description: On June 13, 2016, a shooting took place at a playground in Brooklyn. Plaintiff had nothing to do with this. Nonetheless, defendant police officers manufactured evidence and altered witness testimony causing plaintiff to be falsely arrested and incarcerated for one year, two months and 23 days. Additionally, plaintiff was libeled and defamed in newspapers citywide. All charges against plaintiff were dismissed on January 8, 2018.
