Description: On January 16, 2021, Plaintiff was lawfully attending a police protest. plaintiff was the video recorder for the protest. Police ordered the protesters to clear the street. which Plainitff and other protesters move to the sidewalk. Defendant Cheng approached and grabbed a protestor in front of Plaintiff. In fear that the Protester would step back and step on his already fractured toe, Plaintiff stepped back and lost balance. In an effort not to fall Plaintiff reached out and grabbed the protestor. however Plaintiff never made physical contact with the protestor. however focus shifted to Plaintiff as he was filming.
