Description: On January 27 2022 the Plaintiffs were lawfully inside their residence when NYPD Officer Christopher Ascazubi, Henningston Bernard, Rafael Melendez, and John or Jane Doe unlawfully knocked the door and ignored requests for a warrant and entered without probable cause. The Officers proceeded to seize the Plaintiff and conduct an unlawful search of his clothing and items without any legal basis. The Officers then violently applied excessively tight handcuffs causing more pain before transporting the Plaintiff to the 30th Precinct. The Plaintiff was released from custody on January 28 2022 after arraignment. All charges were dismissed on May 16 2022 due to lack of probable cause.

Description: On April 17, 2017, around 9:00 PM, Plaintiff Tarik Gumbs was near West 133rd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, Manhttan, when Defendant Detectives Christop Ascazubi and Luis Cordova and Defendant Officers John Doe and John Roe summarily stopped, searched, grabbed, handcuffed, assaulted, battered, and detained him using excessive force. Plaintiff was taken to an unidentified precinct and to the Bronx Criminal Courthouse. While in Defendant Officer's custody, Plaintiff was subjected to a strip search and assault of his head, neck, back, body, and limbs. Plaintiff was incarcerated for over 24 hours prior to release, and was then required to make numerous court appearances before the charges were terminated.

Description: Plaintiff was on his motorcycle heading southbound from aforementioned location when a defendant officer swung his baton at the plaintiff. Plaintiff stopped to complain to other defendant officers who kicked him off his motorcycle and began to physically assault him and spray mace in his face.
