Description: On February 28, 2019, the plaintiff was attending high school when she was attacked by another student. While interrupting the fight, NYPD School Safety Agent Sergeant Trevor Austin shoved the plaintiff to the ground. Plaintiff suffered severe pain in her neck, back, chest, arms, and left wrist; and required orthopedic treatment and physical therapy. The incident was captured on video.

Description: On January 15, 2013, Tyrek Jones was on his way to school when he was confronted by Police Officer Austin and other unidentified NYC Police Officers who demanded that he come with them to take him to school. Jones indicated to POs that he would do so, but would like to buy a drink before and when he attempted to do so he was accosted by Police Officer Austin who punched Jones. Following the assault, the Police Officers arrested Jones without any legal justification or probable cause. Jones was arrested and then taken to the precinct where he was booked and incarcerated. Jones was then arraigned and had to appear in Brooklyn Criminal Court on numerous occasions where he entered a plea of not guilty. The charges...
